Eco Club

Iqra University Islamabad Campus is deeply committed to the protection and conservation of nature. In order to fulfill its corporate social responsibility toward environment in an organized and sustained manner, the Islamabad Campus established its Eco Club in the summer of 2014.
The Eco Club is primarily involved in activities that seek to promote a cleaner and greener environment. The students are encouraged to engage the local community in such activities, while creating awareness among the masses about the value of green environment for human race and sensitizing especially the youth about the conservation of biodiversity and natural resources.
A large number of students have joined the Eco Club. Interested students and faculty members can become members of the club through registering with the Planning and Development Department. The club has a large number of volunteers. A four-member committee facilitates the students in organizing activities and events aimed at conserving environment.
Since the launch of the club, more than 100 students and faculty members have participated in various activities such as tree plantation, eco restoration at natural parks, and cleaning-up activities, including collecting litter at natural excursion spots.
