Prof. Engr. Dr. Abdul Jalil is a Professor and Associate Dean in the Faculty of Computing
and Technology at Iqra University, H-9 Campus, Islamabad. With over 39 years of
professional experience spanning academia, research, industry, and academic administration,
he is recognized as a distinguished academic leader in computing and engineering education.
Dr. Jalil has held key leadership positions, including Dean, Head of Department, Director
Quality Enhancement Cell, and Head of Student Affairs. He has played a significant role in
advancing higher education quality through his contributions as an NCEAC
Evaluator/Convener, HEC Program Evaluator, and PEC Accreditation Evaluator, leading
numerous accreditation and quality enhancement initiatives across Pakistan.
An HEC-approved PhD supervisor, Dr. Jalil’s research focuses on Artificial Intelligence,
Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Medical Image Processing, and Signal Processing. He
has published extensively in internationally recognized journals and conferences and has
supervised numerous postgraduate researchers. His vision is to promote academic excellence,
research innovation, outcome-based education, and strong industry-academia partnerships
while preparing graduates to address emerging technological challenges.
