Dr. Adnan Sohail has completed his PhD studies in Engineering Sciences and Information Technology from the Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, Austria in 2012. Prior to that, he received his Masters in Computer Science degree from Bahria University, Islamabad. Dr. Adnan Sohail joined Iqra University's Computing and Technology Department on 1st November 1, 2015.
He has overall more than 20 years of experience in industry, research and academia. During his academic career he has supervised many PhD, MS theses and undergraduate projects. He is also an active member of curriculum committee, Board of Studies and Board of Faculty to design and revise the curricula of BSCS, BSSE, BSAI and postgraduate programs according to NCEAC/HEC guidelines. In addition to Head of Computer Science Department he is also serving as a Director Research of the same department. He also contributing to other universities by giving valuable insight to evaluate 7 PhDs and 54 MS dissertations.
With a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of computer science, Dr. Sohail's research interests span Performance Modeling and Evaluation, Operations Research, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Network Security. Dr. Sohail has 21 research publications in reputable journal with an overall more than 47 impact factor. His research profile comprises of four international conference publications as well. He is an approved HEC PhD supervisor and produced four PhDs and still four PhD scholars are conducting research work under his supervision. His dedication to academic excellence and his innovative approach to technology make him an invaluable asset to our institution and the broader academic community.
