Background
The IEEE Student Chapter was opened in IQRA University Islamabad Campus (IUIC) in MAY 2011 under the guidance of Sir Afaq Qammar (Mentor) and Farhan Babar (Branch Chair) but then after a year the chapter was closed. This seminar was held for awareness and revival of IEEE Student Branch at IUIC.
Details of the Seminar
The speakers first met the HODs of the Computing and Technology Department and Electronic Engineering Department. The seminar started at 12:40 and both speakers briefed the audience on IEEE, its benefits, students’ advantages of IEEE membership, and the attractive opportunities offered if a student chapter is established on campus. The speakers effectively delivered a session meant to motivate students to get membership. Both guests were awarded with shield souvenirs. The session was followed by a luncheon meeting between the guests and faculty members. Mr Jamal and Mr Kazmi were also taken on a campus tour by the students.
